I can’t believe how fast time flies! I’ve been working on some wordier, more studied, posts but have nothing yet to present. Good time for a Tumblr Tuesday. Here are the week’s pix from the boZannical Tumblr…
Muni has been working on replacing tracks along the N-Judah line and has this tunnel under Buena Vista Hill closed. Didn’t take long for the Centranthus ruber to pop in!
I love a little harmless mischief. Somebody stuck a piece of trash sandpaper on a leaf of this flax. Made a nice photo.
Trumpet vine flower escapee from upwind.
A giant inflatable flower sculpture I stumbled across in Civic Center Plaza.
This house down the street has ever-changing plantings out front, and I love this cluster with the figurine head.
Dolores Park’s palm trees have some amazingly unusual epiphytes. The central palm has these dandelions on the trunk!
The garden I work on the edge of Sutro Forest is bloomin’ away!
Interesting. They cut open the sidewalk for a street garden, but perhaps the ground is too hard to dig. I love their ingenuity with using potted plants!
A cool nasturtium climbing a bear’s breech stalk in the Sutro Forest client’s garden.
At work the other day at Flora Grubb Gardens I started putting together some compositions of plants for sale. Here I used Carex ‘Frosted Curls’ with Echeveria ‘Black Prince’ and Sedum ‘Blue Carpet’
This one has Aeonium undulatum as the focus, with Carex testacea (orange sedge), Aloe juvenna, and Crassula ‘Campfire’. This sold before I started the next potting!
I did this third one with CA native Festuca ‘Patrick’s Point’ grass, Aloe plicatilis, Graptoveria and Graptopetalum.
A Yucca going into bloom at Flora Grubb Gardens.
I’ll leave you with a last shot from my trip to Guerneville the other weekend. This fallen tree in the woods had such gorgeous bark! So soothing.
Thanks for stopping by! See ya later in the week… Bloom Day this month is gonna be outta control!
