Happy Sunday, everyone!
It’s a foggy morning here, and I’m kicking off my work week with a Tumblr Salad, to compile a gallery of the most recent posts from the boZannical Tumblr…
In other personal blogging news since my last post, my partner and I started a fun new Tumblr blog last week, spawned by the discovery of a random photo of Angela Lansbury floating around our garden. (See my “Stray Angelas” post for details about that.) We were both amused enough to print out a full-color 8×10 of the shot and frame it. We take it with us when we eat out, and have someone take our picture as we have “Breakfast with Angela.” Check it out! It’s just a start, but we love it. 🙂
My favorite mural about town. Church St at Hill or 23rd or thereabouts.
Spectacular Aloe plicatilis on Graystone Terrace.
Truly phenomenal metalwork and wooden door on Graystone Terrace.
Interesting overhaul. Steps turning into a planter.
Fire and ice! Geranium and echeveria pairing.
Naked ladies strutting at Kite Hill.
Kenilworth ivy fading out on a wall on Liberty St.
Serendipitous landing of a bougainvillea bract next to a matching scarf.
Whimsical Seussian screening on 20th and Sanchez.
Aeonium being swallowed by Santa Barbara daisy on Grandview Terrace.
Dahlias, simple against a blue wall on Corbett or thereabouts.
Fuzzy caterpillar look of a crested euphorbia, on Romain above Market.
Street tree well planted with sunflowers! Clayton St, above Corbett.
Mahonia lomariifolia leaf bud, in the Sutro Forest clients’ garden.
A fallen abutilon flower in my Sutro Forest clients’ garden.
Gorgeous blue door or Graystone Terrace.
Growing up in Mendocino County, I developed a love for Victorians painted white on white. I love these green pots, with the door painted to match. Reminds me of the Mendo coast.
Same house as a ponytail palm you’re about to see. Isn’t this trunk insane?
New Zealand Christmas tree, sprouting from a crack in a cliff face on the north side of Corona Heights. Check out that long air root!
Biggest beaucarnea I’ve ever seen! This ponytail palm is on the corner of Noe and Alvarado.
I gave a talk to the Potrero Hill Garden Club at Flora Grubb Gardens a couple of Sundays back. Very fun!
Looking up through the echium on the Cumberland St steps at Noe.
It’s like an Ikebana piece waiting to happen. 22nd St at Castro.
Vivid! Love that. Douglass St above 20th.
