Time for a bit of Tumblr Salad! I seem to have accrued enough posts on the boZannical Tumblr to warrant throwing one of these puppies together…
Nice bunghole at the end of the gallery. 🙂
I LOVE this! Guy across from me on the bus home the other night, rocking (the latest trend?) botanical boot adornment.
Cute little fern sprout in a retaining wall at my client’s garden. 🙂
The annual decorating of a ginkgo on Carmel St.
Interesting take on vertical gardening, next to the Container Store at 22 Fourth.
It’s like fake-alstroemeria pick up sticks or something.
Perfect timing on the shutter? 🙂 Just a leaf suspended on a single-strand web…
Some vivid geranium action up at Ma’s house in Guerneville.
The light at the end of the tunnel?
Suck! Not sure if it’s new homeowners or what, but somebody decided to girdle this eucalyptus (Corymbia ficifolia) on Noe at Cumberland. Nothing wrong with the tree, and not damaging anything. Perhaps blocking the view? Girdling all the way around cuts a tree’s “veins”, essentially. It’s gonna be a goner.
You will not get away!
Sansevieria (snake tongue/mother-in-law’s tongue) does not survive outdoors in our climate. People keep trying, though. Perhaps if they just asked a gardener… This one’s at the Target on Geary and Masonic.
Sycamore leaf stain on the sidewalk.
Isn’t this some intense color?!?
A little too formal of a layout for my personal taste, but I love the colony-planting of the Agave victoriae-reginae.
Strawberry tree (Arbutus) against a blue wall.
Winter-stressed jade plant against a blue backdrop.
Sword ferns under the dawn redwood at CCSF.
Deciduous dawn redwood at CCSF on Ram Plaza.
Closeup of the bark on a neighbor’s massive fan palm (Washingtonia robusta).
Bung in a bunghole. Tee hee. 🙂
