Succulent Gardens, down in Castroville, California, is a succulent grower that has one of the region’s best offerings, in my humble opinion. Most of the small-container succulents at Flora Grubb come from there, and the variety is definitely top notch!
Coming up on Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1 they will be hosting their Succulent Extravaganza! This is a celebration of all things succulent, and will cover topics regarding succulents in design, native habitat, vertical gardening, and more. They will be offering snacks and coffee/tea both days, and have a stellar lineup of guest speakers. There will also be workshops, including one on hypertufa.
Among the speakers are succulent garden design author Debra Lee Baldwin, Ruth Bancroft Garden curator Brian Kemble, Davis Dalbok of Living Green, and on and on… A very worthy event.
