April Bloom Day 2012

Happy Garden Bloggers’ Bloom Day! Took a few pix around our garden to highlight what’s blooming right now. It’s a small at the moment, but…

Our pink rice flower is starting to wake up! Pimelea ferruginea will be a big ball of pink someday.

This big-ass daisy is borrowed, in a way. Plant-sitting for a neighbor, but we’re getting to enjoy its blooms.

Another plant-sitting specimen in bloom.

Petite Butterfly Sweet Pea Shrub – Polygala fruticosa ‘Petite Butterfly’ – doin’ it’s sweet sweet thang!

Echeveria imbricata bolting up a flower head. This individual is not much longer for this world, so good thing it makes lots of baby plants around it before it dies!

I don’t remember what species this cute little Crassula is.

Even this dry-shade sedge has little flower spikes in there! Carex oshimensis ‘Evergold’.

Thanks to Carol of May Dreams Gardens for coming up with Garden Bloggers’ Bloom Day!
